Works for Vale of White Horse Council have started at Abbey Meadow Pool in Abingdon, Oxford. The £1.2M project, which will run for 26 weeks, will see the pool and changing facilities refurbished and the two existing pools made into one.

Progress has been good, with the team approximately 1 week ahead internally and level on programme externally. Both male and female changing Rooms and toilets have been stripped out, 1st fix Mechanical & Electrical services are currently on going.

Externally the dividing walkway between the existing small and big pools has been removed, the original pool surround has been removed, the top 600mm of the pool wall has been diamond cut and removed to allow formation of the new perimeter and carry some pool services.
