Having gained extensive experience in leisure and retail operational refurbishments, we started working in healthcare in 2008, providing private and public clients with solutions to complex ‘live’ refurbishments. We have since undertaken some large remodelling projects, along with numerous stand-alone MRI/CT suites and CSSD projects. We have also built and refurbished a large number of private clinics. We have a solid understanding of the ‘flows’ required in healthcare facilities, as well as the CQC requirements associated with both the finished works and the build process. We have a flexible approach and can change our planned works as required, to suit the changing demands of consultants and patients alike.

VincentStokes has completed numerous operational refurbishments for Nuffield Healthcare working with a partnered supply chain of experienced healthcare specialists, enabling the client to keep its hospitals and clinics open during each programme. The refurbishment schemes carried out cover medical centres, as well as hospitals, over a wide geographical area. Works range from, on the clinical side, new Operating Theatre Suites, Intensive Treatment Units (ITU), X-Ray departments, and MRI suites to Sterile Supply Departments, and patient-facing areas.
Early involvement is critical to the success of each project and VincentStokes ensures that the scheme is planned effectively from the feasibility stage, right through to delivery and handover. A collaborative approach is essential and often projects are divided into micro-phases requiring close co-ordination of take-over and hand-back deadlines, with cleanliness remaining of paramount importance, both during the works and at handover.
